The Friends of Brandywine Creek State Park is an independent non-profit organization formed for the purpose of assisting, in a cooperative spirit and in an advisory capacity, Brandywine Creek State Park, for attaining commonly shared goals through:
- Fund Raising
- Activity Support
- Needs Assessment
- Public Awareness
- Public Relations
- Assistance with Enrichment & Improvement Projects
A few of the projects we financed or assisted with:
Scholarships, Outdoor Movies at the Park: Frozen and Mama Mia, Materials for Eagle Scouts, Governors Capital Camp-Out, Fee Booth Renovation, Adventure Fest, Adopt-a Trail, Fund Annual All Staff Park Picnic, Blue Bird House Maintenance, Plays at the Park and many more
There is a 30 to 35% budget shortage every year – We bring funds directly to the wonderful Brandywine Creek State Park.
Who Are the Friends?
The Friends are people who care deeply about the beauty and preservation of the Brandywine Creek State Park.
Our projects are varied; we welcome your suggestions, new ideas and input. Please join us and get involved.
We are a 501(c)(3) organization that raises and distributes funds to protect the Park, enhance visitors’ experience, support our volunteers and promote education programs at the Park.
